Please join the Cato Institute’s Mike Tanner, David Bier, and Christopher Hansford for lunch as they discuss the new Cato State Leaders Initiative (CSLI) and the complete policy toolbox for state executives, legislators, and thought-leaders. Senior fellow Mike Tanner will discuss his expertise on poverty, inequality, healthcare, and more, and immigration policy analyst David Bier will examine proven ways that states can lead in the ongoing national dialogue around immigration. Cato’s new CSLI is focused on bringing more resources—such as policy analysis, expert testimony, and much more—to state executives and policy teams from a nonpartisan perspective. From reducing drug pricing and improving patient outcomes to examining best practices in public infrastructure spending, criminal justice reform, school choice, and protecting individual rights in marginalized communities, the Cato Institute is looking to partner with state leaders in ways that amplify best practices, support proven policies, and offer our wealth of data and scholarly support to those on the frontline of public policy.
