Michael F. Cannon, Director of Health Policy Studies, Cato Institute

Rikki SchlottColumnist, New York Post

Let’s be honest: Health care in America is a mess. It’s confusing and expensive, and there are massive gaps—and, despite what many assume, it is far from a free market. How did we end up here? And more importantly, what can we do about it?

Michael F. Cannon, Cato’s director of health policy studies, has spent decades making sense of the chaos. He is hard at work fixing these problems, including what he calls “the original sin of US health policy.” Michael will share the insights and ideas that he has taken to Capitol Hill and the White House—which the president himself amplified via social media.

Joining him in conversation is Rikki Schlott, New York Post columnist and co-author of The Canceling of the American Mind. Rikki is quickly becoming one of the boldest voices of the next generation of journalists, and we’re excited to introduce her to the Next Gen community.

Please join us for an evening of stimulating ideas, good company, and the chance to connect with other young professionals who care about liberty, markets, and making sense of the policies that shape our lives.
